Sarah Pritchard is the new FCA deputy chief executive – having already lead FCA’s supervision, policy and competition division, then its markets function and most recently its consumers and competition arm. The FCA has created this role to reflect its expanding remit as it not only subsumes the PSR but also takes on regulation of new products such as stablecoin and crypto, and BNPL firms that will newly come within the regulatory perimeter.
