Emily Shepperd has spoken on the balance the FCA has been striving to get in its efforts to support the financial services sector, and how it has now a focus of 4 key areas as opposed to the 13 it had a few years ago. She focussed on the current drive to support consumers in their financial lives, fight financial crime and get regulation proportionate. She also discussed some recent improvements the FCA has made, not least in meeting its operating metrics for authorisation on a regular basis.
