Jessica Rusu has spoken on how the FCA plans to harness AI and tech to deliver its strategic priorities. It says that proper use can help it deliver on all 4 pillars, including helping firms to get new customers and serve their current ones better while helping the FCA to be a smarter regulator.
She recapped the FCA’s work since 2014 and Project Innovate – and the regulatory sandbox which has developed over the years, and is now about to allow firms to test in a the newest supercharged sandbox.
She noted how firms are using AI – mainly internally, and the FCA is now looking to encourage them to use it in a way that can benefit customers and markets.
