HM Treasury has published the feedback on its consultation on the Financial Services Growth and Competitiveness Strategy, which has helped it form its 10 year plan. Part of the strategy is to make several cross-cutting changes, on which is is now consulting.
It plans to:
- set shorter statutory deadlines within which regulators must determine applications;
- require the regulators to produce long-term strategies with clear goals and priorities; and
- rationalise how the various “have regards” requirements feed into regulator policy-making.
Consultation closes on 9 September.
