The Q4 2025 mortgage lending statistics show a slight fall in the outstanding value of all residential mortgage loans, but the value is still significantly higher than in the corresponding period last year. Similarly, the value of gross mortgage advances fell slightly in the last quarter but was 15% higher than a year earlier. New mortgage commitment values saw the largest decrease in a quarter since 2023, but were still slightly higher than a year ago.
