Government publishes 2026-2029 Fraud Strategy

The Government has published its Fraud Strategy for 2026 to 2029. The strategy has 3 pillars – disrupting, safeguarding and responding. As part of the strategy, there will be a new Online Crime Centre and Report Fraud service. The Government intends to work in collaboration with the telecoms, online and financial services sectors to deliver interventions that address current vulnerabilities, and to support specialist cyber resilience centres in giving advice to businesses on how to improve their resistance to fraud. It will start these actions immediately, and will launch other initiatives over time, including a call for evidence on unauthorised fraud.
