PRA publishes firm feedback summary

The PRA has published the results of its 2025 survey of firms in which it asked questions to help it identify how it could supervise better.

Last year’s exercise included more firms than previous surveys so provided a wider picture.

Generally, firms were happy with the approachability and responsiveness of their supervisory teams and generally higher impact firms had more confidence that their supervisors understood their business model than lower impact ones. Themes from the survey that the PRA will work on are:

  • more transparency on supervisory work and data requests so firms clearly understand the reasoning behind them;
  • better coordination between relevant specialists, whether within the PRA, with the FCA or with international regulators;
  • more proportionality that focuses on the main risks firms face; and
  • more forward visibility of timelines for future supervisory plans and prompter feedback.
