FCA updates on research themes

The FCA has outlined the four themes that dictate the research it does – growth, wholesale markets, helping consumers and regulation – with questions around financial crime having a place in all of them. Under those banners, it has been looking at issues such as:

  • changes in financial markets in terms of productivity growth, international competitiveness and capital allocation and consumers;
  • market resilience, market microstructure and market integrity in the wholesale markets;
  • navigating financial lives, outcomes and trust and consumer outcomes and growth, including consumers’ financial resilience and how to build it; and
  • burdens and benefits of regulation, regulatory approaches and tools and innovation in financial markets and regulatory changes.
