The FCA has reported that there are now 49 signatories to the Mortgage Charter, and that the signatories represent about 90% of the mortgage market. The latest data suggests that well over 1m mortgages benefited from one more more of the options set out in the Charter and that around 113,000 mortgages have temporarily reduced monthly payments as a result of the new FCA rules allowing reduced payments for up to 6 months.
